Signs

Some people asked how I’ve spent more than a decade now in learning the way. I still don’t have the answer, but recalling my memories before I get in touch with Aikido, I think I might have got some kind of guidance, and finally studying this art until now.

I have interest in martial art since I was a little, but none of what I have took seem to challenge my desire in knowledge. I knew about the art from a senior high school friend, when I was in my 2nd year (now 11th grade). But dismissed my hope in learning because of the distance from the dojo to my house.

One day, me and my family went to Bali for holiday, and then I stumble upon this pile of stones, made for house materials in front yard of some art shops. I supposed it was crafted for zen garden, or perhaps, pond decorations. So I just took one (stole one perhaps :p) and bring it home, without realizing what is engraved on it. That was more than 10 years ago, and I still have the stone,

Perhaps, it’s a sign. What’s your story? 🙂
